Last Thursday some of us attended a Town Hall meeting of the Pacific Mountain Region of the United Church.  It was very informative and the document produced from that meeting is attached. 

The Province is now in Phase 2 of the reopening plan and technically churches are permitted to re-open if they are able to do so following the strict guidelines set out by Dr. Henry, chief Medical Officer. However, Dr. Henry is still emphasizing “do you NEED to gather and what are the risks?” so as a result of this and other considerations, the Region has recommended that churches remain in Stage 1 with online worship only.  We will be using this document as our guide moving forward in the coming months as each ministry team works out its plans for whether and how to safely resume various aspects of our life together.
