Significant people in my life …are my darling Beth, my four man-children and their families, especially my sweet grandkids.  

For me church is ….a place of peace, energy and community….I love how the Spirit moves throughout the gathering no matter what the event.  

What surprises me about this stage of my life …my hip and knees hurt, and…..if that is all at my age, then let’s celebrate and move on…..is there any Shiraz?  

On a really bad day I …well, I don’t really have really bad days….on a down day I play Mr.Fixit and do as many of the small jobs around the house as I can so I can feel like it was a day of great accomplishments….and then I show Beth all the things I did…..sad isn’t it?  

On a really good day I … get to go skiing and then read stories to my grandkids before bed…..when you are the Grandpa, you get to do all the fun stuff and soak in the love.  

My all-time favourite comfort food is …a big bowl of hot chili…but weight watchers says I can only have 250 ml (1 cup)……that is really not right!  

I used to be ….younger than 50, so now, I just try to behave like I am 50.  

God’s most precious promise to me is…. his unparalleled, unprecedented favour. God is so-o-o-o good.
